What I don't get about Corny is why he is friends and applauds Mick Foley so much if Crony hates hardcore wrestling with a fucking passion and thats all Mick is known for

Because Foley wrestled for many years before that and had tons of different skills and Cornette did say he thought Mick leaned too much into spots or hardcore stuff at times, and Cornette did heavily criticize New Jack at times but also knew he could actually wrestle and cut promos, etc... And they had some heat but made up later.

Both Foley and New Jack had character work, charisma and psychology perfected before they ever set foot in the ring. They used hardcore matches to accentuate what they had already built up. Someone like Moxley however uses garbage matches to hide his flaws.
