The real reason Bret Hart won't work for AEW is because Martha Hart is there. The story about him getting some huge new deal is false, he's still on the same legends deal he's had for many years. Meltzer is covering for his friend because the fact that Bret still hates Martha is obviously not a good look. He's already changed his story on this twice.
