Anime and video games aren't ruined by casuals though. Only the mass-marketed shit is, but that's rarely going to be good anyway. The more important thing is that those hobbies are active and draw enough dimes that many great works of actual artistic merit can be found on the periphery.
Wrestling, by contrast, is fucking gay and is so highly niche and insulated, that the shows appealing to the hardcores are somehow even gayer. Wrestling would unironically benefit from broader casual appeal since it'd spark more interest in the 10% who actually go out and create something worthwhile.
