It might not be bad for AEW but it looks like Warner already saw AEW as a B show filler content and not nearly on the same level as the NBA or the NHL.
Discovery will see that "Big Bang Theory" reruns get bigger ratings - and they don't have to spend any money on it. They might determine it's more cost effective to own AEW rather than keep paying TK to air it.
And if he doesn't sell, they might determine it's value as "live content" is better on the B Warner/Discovery cable channels like TruTV or DestinationAmerica that air cheap reality shows. Discovery now owns a shit ton of cable channels at a time when cable is dying, so they might want to use AEW to pad out their crappy channels.
Ultimately, AEW might go the way Impact went with AXS or ROH with Sinclair. The network uses it for filler for a channel no one has.
