People like Yuya, Yota and Ren and the American young lions have been young lions for 3+ years now. The American young lions haven't even been making the Japanese cards. Some of that is due to covid, but it also feels like they screwed up. Tetsuhiro Yagi, Takumi Honjo, Katsuya Kitamura and Teruaki Kanemitsu retired young.
I just don't get it really. NJPW is the biggest promotion in Japan. They have more money and more name recognition power than other feds. They should be able to pop-out 6 people a year no problem. Meanwhile, Dragon Gate debuted like 8 guys in the last 2 years and already has a lot of them figured into things.
