>>5477926Yuka takes TJPW very seriously. As Shoko related, when they worked King of Trios, she cried in the lockerroom after their first match because even though the fans loved it she thought it could've been better and thus she wasn't representing TJPW the best she could. This is admirable but unfortunately, when N*tsumi M*ki left, she gave an interview where she denigrated TJPW by calling it too "friendly" and in effect, inferior to Stardom. This pissed off Yuka who responded by saying that at least they didn't need to resort to bikini fights to sell their shows leading to the now infamous line of "those who wish to leave should leave".
Ever since then, she's been noticeably meaner in the ring eschewing most of her high flying for submissions, strikes and power moves. As most of her happy-go-lucky character has gone. When wrestling rookies or people with less experience, she tends to try and play the grumpy vet role which often times means not really selling, dominating matches and winning matches with nearfall moves, not even secondary finishers. In the AEW women's tournament, she had a mediocre match with Mei Suruga which caused Mei to cry afterwards thinking she'd blown her big debut in front of a wider audience. Emi was pretty pissed about that, saying that Yuka can't really treat every match like she's writing a TJPW rookie.
When N*tsumi insulted TJPW, that was the day the Enjoy Girl died and in her place was born Big League Yuka, the destroyer of rookies and crusher of the dreams of midcarders.
