I'm just seeing the first round.
Punk strikes looked really bad. He overextended and wasted a lot of energy. The kicks were the worst. Like the ones from a middle aged man that has been doing this for a few months. Sometimes you can see those in a gym from time to time. Good for them I guess. Jackson looked more loose, since he was a golden gloves boxer.
Punk was pushing foward all the time, which is what he should do, so good plan from his team.
He did a lot of clinching and stalling, but Jackson was able to reverse the clinching all the times, and never looked too bothered.
After 4 minutes, Punk was able to get the first takedown. That was nice. Jackson was able to get out of it fast.

I wouldn't give him the first round

Let's see the second one.

Second round:
Holy shit Punk looks exhausted as soon as the round starts. Really bad cardio and energy management. MMA is a brutal sport and he wasn't prepared for it.

Punks gets clipped at the first minute of the second round. Mike should have finished the fight there, any other fighter would. Punk was able to shake it off and try a pathetic guillotine.

That allowed Punk to buy some time after the first concussion. Mike falls/drops Punk on the ground. If Punk was a more competent fighter he would have applied a better guillotine, since he had full guard.

Punk pathetically tries to punch Jackson while on his back. That's something you should not do ever. His team screams him to stop doing that. Mike was able to give him some hammerfists and hard punches. Punk keeps trying to punch him. He doesn't know what to do in that position.

Really bad showing

Punk came so unprepared that he didn't even cut his hair.
Punk also looks really exhausted and his face looks swolen up and bloodied up. Mike should have tried to finish the fight and not doing so makes him look bad.

Punk keeps pushing foward. As he should, because on the feet he would get heemed. He tried a pathetic imanari roll.

I liked the commentary: "There's times when heart only means a longer beating"

Mike tickles him near the end of the round, the crowd boos. Mike looks like he's having fun with the reaction.

The fight ends. Seeing the replay Punk ate some really hard shots that landed clean as a whistle. Surprisingly hard chin, but that doesn't mean anything if the only thing you can do with it is get beaten.

-I honestly don't believe Punk has been training for more than a few months. There's no way somebody with more than two years training daily will be that bad. I don't care about the age. I know neuroplasticity is a factor, but is still two years in a top gym. It would be really depressing for anybody to train for something for so long and get so little in return.
-any other fighter would have mauled Punk on the first round, and Mike should have finished the fight at the very least on the second round, when he clipped him and didn't capitalize.

-Punk is really good at pro-wrestling and has the success he has because his experience, charisma and psychology makes up for his lack of athleticism. But I think wrestlers need to keep the illusion of being tough. If any other tough guy movie star was in the same situation, his career would be over. Look at Ronda after the first loss. Producers stopped calling her. If anything, it shows that wrestling fans and wrestling promoters are more forgiving.
Even Brock Lesnar was at the receiving end of two brutal beatings and he became the biggest name in pro wrestling shortly after that.
