That's important too because Austin and Bret's was built for months. Their match works great in a vacuum still, but the double turn was so much more than the finish of the match and is even better when you have the context.

All I know is if you ask the average person if they know the wrestler Steve Austin, a huge % will say yes. If you ask those same people if they know who Bret Hart is, they'll say the name sounds familiar.

I don't think this guy has ever watched that Austin vs Brett match. It would be impossible to have that opinion if he did.
This "double turn" in the Sammy vs Scorpio match is really just everyone hates Sammy and whoever beats him is the good guy.
Brett vs Austin was the babyface resorting to more and more heelish tactics because he grew frustrated with being unable to finish Austin. And Austin the heel who won the crowd over with his refusal to quit. Austin passing out to the sharpshooter drenched in blood is an all time great ending.
