The Stardust gimmick wasn't even bad. Cody was making it work but he was too much of a self mark to enjoy it

It basically took anything good he had going for him (name, physique, mic skills, etc.) and blocked him from showing and using them and forced him to become Goldust 2.0 (Goldust is anti-dimes even though he seems like a good guy/worker)
