At the time, a lot of people speculated it could have been some kind of combination with MJF, Spears, FTR, Varsity Blonds, Lee Johnson or Brock Anderson. The Pinnacle formed soon after so that idea got scraped.

Speaking of hypothetical faction, I was sure that a faction around Moxley with Darby, Sting, Lance Archer, Death Triangle and Eddie Kingston would have formed eventually since all of them were either tagging or feuding around one period. BCC is kino but I still wish it could have happened.

Unironically I think this is happening in WWE. I think Cody's going to have a storyline where he wins over each of his opponents into a new faction. It's absolute Cody level in terms of booking, a mix between his dad and Jeff Jarrett. Every guy he beats is set to become a horseman. So Seth, Owens, Randy has to be in there and then a surprise guy. It could be Theory since they were both picked by Vince. It could be Riddle. Seth, Randy, and Owens are all tight with Cody.

I don't know who could be the other singles guy though. I'm thinking of MJF but he was already too big to play second fiddle to Cody, and two main guys doesn't work. Can't think of someone talented enough to be in that kind of stable and that fits the style of the stable.

Cody would have wanted Wardlow, a big powerhouse mute that is the groups enforcer. This is probably how the Pinnacle idea got greenlit. Jericho could have pitched to MJF and Wardlow a similar storyline where they dont get broken up and those two said yes, with MJF not realizing that choosing the lesser of two evils is still evil and involves show tunes.

It actually makes sense in terms of Roman. Roman has a faction so anyone going against him will need one too. Roman's "faction" losing to another faction is different than Roman getting beat outright. It lets them put the blame on the Uso's which would give that group reason to break up and let Roman go solo again, making him more "vulnerable". I don't think it's going to be a straight 1v1 when Roman loses anyway though. I think Cody gets MiTB and cashes in during a 1v1 Roman vs Drew match. With Seth giving him the advice etc. Cody with a mashup version of The Elite and the 4 Horseman is again too Cody obvious to not happen
