What happened to hierarchy in wrestling? Why are there no overpowered elite characters who squash lower opponents? It seems like everyone is equal nowadays, and people win and lose randomly.

There were more wrestlers back then, specially in WCW. It was stacked with hundreds of jobbers, lower carders, and mid carders for the top guys to run through and look powerful. Harlem heat and Steiner bros. had the best squash matches against jabronis.
