I don’t care how popular he was in japan, or if ECW fans know him, or whatever. He deserves way, way, way more fucking credit & respect for the insane high flys and athleticism he brought to pro wrestling. Man was a god.

I've always thought moonsaults from the middle/bottom rope were recklessly unsafe being how short amount of time you have to flip over before landing. Even Jericho has nearly Hayabusa'd himself a few times.

I know I’m gonna get a ton of hate for this, but I think he’s the best highfly wrestler who has ever lived. Better than RVD, Mysterio, Sabu, etc. Could make anyone he wrestled with look like they were wrestling the best match of their lives.

AKA he’s one of the greatest pro wrestlers who has ever lived. Dunno if he needs more credit than that, he’s an icon in japan and hardcore wrestling and my opinion isn’t that uncommon if you know your shit.

Great look, great theme, had some good matches but he's massively overrated. There was multiple Jr. Heavyweight better than him during his time. He was sloppy and reckless he often botched his flippy shit. It's sad what happened to him but he came close to giving himself a career ending and life threatening injury until he finally did.

This is what made him so well respected and beloved in Japan. Hayabusa has some of the most underrated technical wrestling I’ve seen, see his many many matches in his run Frontier for reference, right around 1997-98 in particular. When not flying, he put on clinics literally every single match. Really, really good and impressive clinics. He’s not Kofi Kingston, he’s not a one trick pony, Hayabusa was beyond talented in numerous aspects of professional wrestling.

I'm not a hater I'm just realistic. Just look at the people that were with him in the super J-cup 94, Liger, Wild Pegasus (Chris Benoit), Shinjiro Otani, Negro Casas all better than him. You can also argue that Great Sasuke was better.

Did do most of his overseas shit at ECW? I mostly know him from watching japan matches, that and he’s one of my wrestling coaches favorites. Him and Shinjiro Otani. Mans a sucker for japanese 90’s wrestling, but I’m more into lucha stuff cause I’m a latino. But I’ve been itching for some ECW lately, any good matches he was in?

Hayabusa is one of my all time favs. This is kind of a shot in the dark but I'm looking for a Hayabusa tribute video featuring the song "Love Dischord" by Beat Crusaders. It's very old, I think from the early 00's and I had it saved on my old laptop. It also used to be on Youtube but I can't find it anywhere. Anyone know what I'm talking about or is it something lost forever?

The video in itself is a very nice compilation of his career up until his accident and the song goes along so well with the video.
