Soya was right there and he's done nothing but job in NOAH. They always do this, every time someone drops the GHC they start eating pins like they're eating breakfast. Marufuji started eating pins mere weeks after dropping the belt and Kaito before that went on a long long losing streak that had no pay off. Even Shiozaki had a small job run after his failed challenged for the GHC when he returned. Only Muto escaped this fate.
