I believe it. Back when people were posting reddit screenshots of AEW vs NXT discussion threads, the AEW gamethread always had like gold and silver and medals and all that bullshit reddit does. To my knowledge, people have to pay real money to award that stuff. As you said, the "mentality" to spend $5 on redditbucks just to give it to someone who posted a gamethread for a weekly tv show baffles me to no end. Being a prowrestling fan is bad enough, but AEW breeds a new level of simpery. It really is like a mental illness. I now realize all those tranny memes are closer to real life than I ever thought.

Yeah, it's real, I just don't know how it works. They use real $$ to get the medals/awards, but I don't think it translates to actual cash. So where does the money go? I kinda don't want to know, because r/pw disgusts me so much already. They literally have a moderated post in every single thread telling everyone to be nice to eachother or get banned. How does that promote honest discussion about prowrestling? It's the epitome of "safespace" and knowing AEW fans come directly from that forum to here is why I hate them so much. And not to get too deep here, but saying you "hate" AEW is a bannable offense and that's why the AEW fans here always lose their shit when they see memes like "no million?". They're not used to being ribbed. Their brains are hardwired to the safespace. Hence, why /pw/ calls them a cult.
