Because there's a pretty tangible number of people that want to hear that AEW is failing to the point that they will pay money to hear someone tell it to them.

Also, if AEW becomes a long-term success (and spoiler alert, it's trending in that direction) it makes Bischoff look like an even bigger retard for blowing it with WCW.

I think Khan would've been fine bringing Bischoff around once per PPV cycle to be "the guy that harasses Chris Jericho" because he was unironically good in that role. It was the exact right amount of Bischoff and the right way to use him. But obviously that's not happening again.

Obviously a political answer. Nobody who works in TV is going to bury any programming, because things can change at any moment. Studios get bought out, companies change hands. Nobody on TV besides Tony Khan takes shots at other TV shows. Bischoff is a complete faggot though, putting those stories out how Fox executives trust him to run Smackdown more than Vince, and then him getting fired like a week later. He has like 3 acquaintances in TV, and he acts like he's close friends with all the execs. A complete mark through and through.
