“I don’t know, but I believe it’s probably political because Morrissey is like, Impact gave them the guy. They were probably OK with Morrissey doing the job, because he’s gonna. But it was like, ‘Do not humiliate our guy.’ So, one powerbomb was OK, but I think that the four would’ve been… From an Impact standpoint, I wouldn’t say so [that four powerbombs would have been better than one]. One powerbomb and you get pinned is one thing, but the guy just powerbombing your guy over and over again, treating him like that. Yeah, I wouldn’t. If I was Impact, that would be something I would insist on. I would say, ‘No way, four powerbombs. Not for this guy, because we’re pushing him.’ But yeah, he can lose. And obviously, he’s going to lose to the powerbomb. I would strongly presume – I do not know this, nobody told me this, but, I just know that if I’m Impact, that is one of the things that I would’ve insisted on. Not to humiliate our guy.” -Meltzer

>>5555375 Wardlow knew not to fuck around with Morrissey, that's why. You could see it in his expression, getting the dude up for a powerbomb took everything and he would have been stupid not to end it when he had the chance. With Butcher, Archer, and everyone else, he does the "symphony" as a show of dominance. Not doing it to Morrissey was showing him respect as the toughest dude Wardlow has faced yet.

I'm ok with him getting one powerbomb and then pinned after. It doesn't kill his hype after a hard matchup. Also, 4 powerbombs would be nearly physically impossible.

Also they took in a bunch of ex-ROH guys for a storyline and that's sort of dominated the past few months. Morrissey has been great though. Really won over everyone.
