>>5564373It was overwhelmingly positive. Sure there was console warfare and e-drones complaining. But back then they didn't have much to go on compared to now where AEW has gone to shits and whatever criticism they get is actually objectively a fact.
So yeah qualitywise, the Stadium Stampede was fun af, it created memes such as picrel and overall was entertaining and a good way to keep wrestling alive during the pandemic. I get nostalgic about it because the spirit of AEW is nothing like how it was back then. You had Matt with the Elite, it was the last time the Codester stood in the ring together with the rest of the Elite, Brodie was going to debut soon, Mox had just become the world champ. You gave a shit about Hangman and thought that he was going to be the face of the company. It was a good time to be an AEW fan and it lasted up until Kenny lost the belt and went away.
I've stopped watching AEW nowadays and just shitpost about them. The stockholm syndrome cultists who're still watching that shitty product call shitposters like me an e-drone and does not realize how the number of ex-AEW fans are rapidly increasing and are the real shitposters. Even TK is blind to all the criticism, he used to listen to the fans. That's going to be his downfall sooner or later.
