So what's the endgame for his run? I don't see anyone in the company realistically ending his reign without some major build up

I think Bron and Austin Theory are too green to be made top guys and i don't think they see riddle as a credible guy since they've got him doing comedy

The goal is to get you to accept Roman as the new John Cena. That's been Vince and WWE's sole goal since Punk was still wrestling for them.

They literally lost over half their audience over this, and maybe even destroyed wrestling's popularity forever.

Cena and Hogan were understood as 'The Guy' by the fans before any bookers. They were entertaining and had great looks, so they stopped being heels because people wouldn't stop cheering for them.
Fan have been telling WWE since The Shield broke up that Roman is NOT THE GUY but Vince saw that as a direct challenge that he still will never let go. The fans that got tired of it simply left

Hate this revisionism. Cena was basically as bad as this. 2005-2014 John Cena was as unbeatable as you can realistically make a pro wrestler in the modern era. In that entire period, he had less than 8 times where he was beat clean without any sort of cheating, interference or some sort of outside ring distraction, and one of them was to fucking Great Khali of all people.

I'll give Reigns this over Cena: At least they turned him heel.

Cena only became likeable again from late 2014 onwards when he was no longer indestructible and actually put other people over every once in a while.
