>>5581768>This only applies to someone you plan on keeping long term. Takeshita is going back to Japan in due time. Why put him over a bunch of people if he's going to disappear before you can make gains on that push?I'm doing some other things at the moment and there may be another example, but generally, you only have people lose on their debut if:
- They are some big star who is only doing one match. And they don't lose to Jay Lethal. They lose to another big star or someone who is about to be a big star.
- You have a young face who you intend to push but isn't ready yet, and he loses to a top guy (not Jay Lethal). Nathan Frazer/Ben Carter lost to Jordan Devlin in WWE NXT UK debut. Devlin held a title at the time. There's better examples, but it works.
Neither one of those applies to Jay Lethal and Konosuke Takeshita. Lethal isn't even well protected since he lost to Cole and Starks. Takeshita from what I read is staying 6 months to a year with trips in-between to Japan.
Nobody watches DDT or knows who he is. People should not be seeing him for the first time and be seeing him lose. There's a bunch of people he can go over in that promotion that won't hurt anyone, including Jay Lethal.
