My own misconception was that PPVs couldn't be bad, no matter what the card was, everyone stepped up to the plate and people who were bad on TV would pull out all the stops and deliver because I had only ever seen the big PPVs on tape. I bought a Smackdown B PPV in the mids 2000s and found out how wrong I was.

Weirdly enough, even tough normies knows wrestling is fake, they still easily believe that some wrestlers legitimately shoot hate each other when they are running an angle. As much as they can be smug in pointing out its fake, they can be the first to get carried by the story (when its well done, at least).
