>>5602642The WB/Discovery deal has been in the works for years, not a few weeks before it occurred. No one would be "proposing" or "reaching out" to purchase a stake or percentage of another company in the midst of hammering out the final deal as it was and is again a $43 billion deal. The reason AEW got an extension was actually as a direct result of working out the merger and wanting to ensure that nothing new was either introduced or lost so it could move forward without a hitch. No one on either side would see investing in a wrestling company as a productive or necessary thing to do when so much else was on the line.
