I wouldn't say it died but it was definitely a big blow cause love him or hate him Cody was a big ratings draw for the company and to this day he still has the highest rated AEW segment.

It's weird how much of the 'EVERYTHING' aura surrounding aew just evaporated the second he announced leaving. After all those signings, too. It's fucking weird. Aew went from cant miss tv with cody, bucks, miro, omega, darby and inner circle to 'who fucking cares' with mox, brian, punk, joe and cole.

Didnt see that coming. Im not surprised shows built around around these gjys tend to suck, mind you. I just never expexted aew to hit the wall so soon and effortlessly.

Cody gave aew a touch of class. Everyone on the show now is a grimey indie guy.
