I watched their other match before it so this felt like a huge deal in their feud. I now understand why it’s listed under “for the spectacle alone” in the pastebin, it’s mostly Inoki chasing Saito around the island. Seeing Saito row a boat though was the highlight of the match for me. Cool submission moves as expected but nothing else comes to my mind. This match was on my “to-do list” for years, I’m now proud of this achievement.

Ya ever just bingewatch Prime Time Wrestling for a month straight because of Gorilla Monsoon and Bobby Heenan? The matches aren’t even good…mostly squash matches with the crowd audibly yelling BORING even back then. WWF was literally only good when Russo had some say lol

its not very good. the msg shows from that year and after are much better. you can skip the undercard and save yourself the hours of boredom. and yes, I love old school wrestling and grew up with it, but wm 1 isnt all that great. the main event is a spectacle that was promoted great, thats all.

I'm about an hour and forty minutes into it now and it's just so bizarrely slow. I keep kind of losing focus on it. Definitely has some kind of cool shots and moments, I dunno why they thought it needed to be so long though.
