New Chikara thread

So Green Ant II and Thief Ant have announced changes, sort of. They are still "The Colony" but their Chikara names Thief Ant and Green Ant are changed. Thief Ant (who wore black and yellow colors) is now Electro Ant and has a neon blue ant suit, while Green Ant is now Ultimo Ant with a hot neon pink ant suit.

They are still straight, just with bright neon colors because whatever deal they had with Quackenbush has finally expired and this is their way to keep doing their gimmick without paying Quackenbush royalties.

It's a term meaning that a person's sexual fetishes and/or hang-ups are influenced by stuff that happened to them in the past that left lasting psychological trauma upon them as a child or teenager.

My guess is that Mike was told he was ugly growing up either by his parents or classmates or a girl he liked and even though he grew up to be a respectable 8-9/10 Chad, he still grew up thinking he was ugly or plain looking.

The mask stuff probably came from BDSM stuff, since in bondage circles, submissives are often masked as a means to dehumanize them by robbing them of their faces and as such, their identity. Which would fit in with Mike being a control freak like he is, in that he is probably into BDSM and used the Chikara roster as his own private playground of guys he could dom non-sexually.

Doesn't shock me. Hardcore wrestlers always looked down on Chikara and Avery as Dasher was their poster boy for a long time. Bam probably also resents the fact that Avery managed to get over with his in ring talent and didn't have to do a lot of the hardcore shit that Bam has to do to make his living.

Boomer unmasked at the start of the year after losing to Avery/Dasher and is now Weber Hatfield. Still teaming with Molly (now Shea) but recently got hurt and is going to be out for two months.

Red Queen was Lady Frost and she's went back to that gimmick, same with One Eyed Jack (forgot who his pre-Chikara gimmick was)

Because around the time that Mike got caught cheating on his wife and had to shut down Chikara, he put Dasher to work doing a webseries that parodied tv sitcoms to appease fans who couldn't attend the "Wrestling Is Fun" dates that were held near the Wrestling Factory to basically let fans know that Chikara still existed in some form and keep Dasher occupied Hank Hill-style to avoid finding out the extent of Mike's Buck Strickland level degeneracy with regards to him leaving his wife for another woman.

Dasher started dressing in suits like a TV dad for the shorts and it carried over afterwards when Chikara resumed.

He's admitted it in interviews. He flunked out of college freshman year and spent a couple of years doing nothing but softball and generally having no direction or motivation until he found out that his childhood friends were all getting involved in the indie wrestling scene where he lived and ended up getting involved with the Wrestling Factory. Where he apparently impressed Quackenbush enough that Quack had Cesero (back when he was part of Chikara) take Dasher under his wing and helped Mike train Dasher to become a wrestler.
