Why did Asuka get over while Gail Kim floundered? JR has confirmed that Vince is a WN who hates asian women, so why would he overpush a fat old slob like Asuka who can't even speak English?

Why wouldn't you hype her debut up? Seems so random she just shows up and wins and all I've been told from JR is that she's a young Asian-Canadian making her WWE debut.

Gail was a botch machine with an oversized ego relative to her talent and no charisma. She didn't come up in a good era, but for a "wrestler" of that age she was still relatively poor and was carried by Kong.
Asuka dances and talks funny which entertains Vince and is probably the reason she's still around, but has the wrestling chops to make others look better and doesn't mind being a JTTS.
