He's definitely not in AEW.
Think of it like this. Adam Cole was coming off of a new debut in the company, so he's going to be over with the fans almost by default even though he's a heel. The fans will still treat him as something of a babyface because he just showed up. It's a terrible idea to book a guy like that in a feud immediately against a babyface champion, it'll either cool off Cole from his debut or weaken Hangman's fan support.

It's a lose/lose, makes 0 sense.

I like Adam Cole enough, but this has been awful. He looked like such a fucking dork when he came out in that Halo shit during the last PPV.

He needs to be pulled aside and told to put on 10 pounds or he’s getting jobbed out on Dark. It’s wasting Hangman’s title run. Hangman is legitimately awesome… good look, decent size, great in-ring, but Cole brought down the whole thing. Dude just looks like a baby. Has the same body type as Janela but with a better face.
