I don't mind Punk's character as a sort of desperate aging veteran clinging to one last shot at glory, especially since all of his matches show him struggling to keep up with the young guys in kayfabe (and in reality) but they aren't leaning into that aspect of his character enough. Hangman calling him out for pandering was a nice development though
