The amount of wrestling is fine, but the length of matches is insufferable. You don't need Cole vs Harwood, on a TV match, for 15 fucking minutes. 8-10 is fine, this isn't a PPV we're talking about.
Did you hear how dead the crowd was for Storm vs Hayter? And that was an insufferable 8:30. Should have been 4-5 minutes with a 1-2 minute recap package beforehand -- get in and get out. As it was, they just had their entrances and went right into the match and the crowd WAS NOT into it at all.
Starks vs Jungle Boy only 10:00, but still could have shaved off a few minutes. Have Starks get to the ring first, grab a microphone, start talking shit, Jungle Boy music hits, and the match is 8:30-9 instead...but the crowd is much more whipped into a frenzy.
It's just not a good TV show right now. If it was a live event, it'd be perfect! When you go to a live event, you want more wrestling and less theatrics. But this is about making a good TV show that keeps people tuning in week to week.
And you can't get people to consistently tune in when they aren't even sure if their favorites and/or the champions (Britt Baker, Scorpio Sky, Adam Page, Thunder Rosa, Jade Cargill, Andrade, The Acclaimed, House of Black, on and on) are even going to appear, have a match, ANYTHING AT ALL. It's just so random week to week.
They sign a new person, they wrestle for 5 weeks straight, and then they wrestle twice a month after that.......all so Dax and Cole can have a 15 minute throwaway match. wtf?
