Warner (now Discovery) is a company run by idiots who have a chance to transform the Cable/Internet landscape but they refuse to do it. They like other providers will let you stream their TV shows but ONLY IF you have a cable subscription. That's a no-go for, these days, tens of millions of us out there who can afford cable just fine -- but aren't willing to pay $50/month when there's only 2-3 channels we even enjoy out of the 50-100+ in the cheapest package.
For me, all I would watch is Raw, Smackdown, Dynamite and Rampage, and not much else. I don't watch football/baseball/basketball any more (BLM sympathizers, fuck 'em), cable news can suck my dick, and most other channels are just full of trash. I might watch South Park every now and then, but most of the rest of TV is just sleazy trash, misinformation and literal gay propaganda.
If Warner would offer all AEW shows streaming on their website FOR FREE.....with commercials (including added logos on the corner of the screen, a la Soccer)....they could easily create both a new revenue stream and a dedicated audience. I would absolutely rather watch on their website in 1080p quality rather than finding crap-quality streams. I don't mind the commercials - good piss break, go rotate my laundry, go gather my work lunch for tomorrow, etc.
But Warner/Discovery won't do it because they're convinced the Internet is going to go away, sooner or later. Fucking boomers are going to kill AEW, not Tony Khan.
