It's good if you like Vignettes and lots of character work. Many consider it corny and the matches are hit and miss which was black and gold's strong suit, but it's definitely the most unique and the most like WCW or early WWF and was purged of all indy faggotry

I've tried giving it a chance but there's just something very hokey about the way everyone talks. The show can't get past the "this is just developmental so nothing really matters" stigma to me either. The girls they push as being hot bombshells don't really do it for me and they come off as obnoxious. There's just nothing there for me, no stars, just a bunch of nobodys.

When Mandy Rose had momentum after beating Sonya at Summerslam he took her off TV for 6 weeks then paired her with the biggest momentum killer possible Dana Brooke and made her job.

To me, NXT 2.0 is a glimpse of how WWE's main roster programming will look in 2-3 years. They seem to have put an emphasis on getting people with size / looks and an athletic background. It's not the worst thing in the world to get good looking athletes and teach them how to wrestle. Looks establish instant credibility.

It's an upgraded developmental version of Hogan WWF. There's lots of characters, rookies and vignettes. The male wrestlers are almost all over 6 foot and over 200lbs and they genuinely have about a dozen people who are going to be main roster features within a year or two.

It's my favorite wrestling promotion currently. It's just so different than every other promotion right now. It's cool to see new people coming in all the time and it's cool to watch people get better each week.

The main downfalls are that there's not a lot of great matches and you just never know when Vince is going to fire one of the roster members out of the blue and screw everything up.

Ratings don't really matter when the point is to build main roster stars. When NXT ratings were better, the show was dominated with guys who currently work on AEW Dark Elevation.
