NWA was pure kino before the panda. He ran it on a shoestring, and it was building up organically. Money didn't matter. Getting blood from a stone is hard to do, and his show did it. I agree. Corny gave the whole thing legitimacy. Cornette draws heat, but made an outdated joke. They could have slowly created a heel commentator from there on and worked some interesting angles. I attended a couple of the early tapings. The energy was great. I am still sad about what could have been.
