People are retarded.

There's no other content on TV that gives you a weekly 2-3 hour show on TV all year around with steady ratings in the top 5 of cable. Not sports, not TV series, not shows like X-Factor, The Masked Singer, etc. while paying peanuts compared to other stuff on TV for the rights.

The wrestling economy is thriving, but creatively it’s performing at like 60%. Playing it too safe appealing to middle aged middle class Twitter users who likely have never and will never watch WWE. The only consistently entertaining brand is Impact, and even they have gone woke to a degree. Hopefully as twitters influence wains and Amber Heard turns women heel it will improve.

I can 100% guarantee you that cable stations pay more for re-runs of Friends and Big Bang Theory that they would for a wrestling show.

Wrestling fans might not know that, but all the actors in those series get paid tenths of millions of dollars every time there's a re-run of a season of a popular series. Not to mention the rights costs to even air them.

One season re-run of Big Bang Theory costs probably more than AEW's whole TV contract which is worth $ 175 million.

nigga, you pay more but get to charge more for ads. I remember someone posted the ad rates, and did the math, smackdown basically breaks even for FOX, its two hours of free tv basically but you arent making money on it.
