like it or not, WCCPW (WhatCulture Championship Pro Wrestling) was the impetus for the takeoff of AEW. it was the original grounds for random hotshot debuts…looking back, they had a ton of ex-wwe guys, TNA favorites, and japs. Hell even adam cole and cody showed up.
It’s bizarre to me that they didnt try to capitalize on all the hype, and instead just sold it off to some unnamed chinese corporation who turned it into Defiant Media, and then dissolved it barely 6 months later. I always wondered, what happens to the championships and stuff? they didnt even do a final match for it
