Reminder that people who say Austin was right to walk out because it should've been a PPV match are complete retards. Rookie getting a surprise win over a top guy on TV has been done before to great effect and they could've run a proper Austin vs. Brock angle as soon as Brock won that KOTR.

I think it had more to do with pay. Punk said in the tell all podcast that they kept putting him in the match before the main event and Vince kept telling him that while it might not be the final match on the card, it is still "the main event" and said his matches were the match of the night, but he was still getting midcard/upper midcard pay. While his opponent, usually a part timer like Undertaker, would be getting main event pay despite not being in the main event.

So then comes along Wrestlemania 30, Punk is literally dying from a staph infection, he gets pulled into the office by Vince to be told his Mania plans. Punk just straight up asks him for extended time off through the whole of Mania season with no "HEY CAN YOU COME BACK FOR THIS MATCH? I OWE YOU PAL" because he's so injured and the staph infection is getting worse. So unless they need him for THE main event he wants time off.

So Vince goes "Of course you're in the main event.. you're going to be wrestling Triple H!" Punk asks if its the last match on the card, Vince says no, Punk asks if he'll be paid the same amount as Triple H, he says no. Punk then asks why they need him for this Mania so bad only for him to be wrestling another part timer in a throwaway match, Vince does his whole "IT'LL BE A HUGE MATCH, ITS A MAIN EVENT, I'LL OWE YOU ONE PAL" Punk then just tells Triple H he has nothing to gain from wrestling him and walks out.

Nothing she did was unprofessional. She did her program with Charlotte, got called in during the holidays to do a last minute house show she hadn't been booked for to do a job in a 3-way because Sasha and Charlotte have to look strong. She asked for the release and she got it because they didn't see the value in her. She didn't leave anyone high and dry, she didn't even badmouth the company on her way out. I mean for fucks sake, it took us almost six months to hear her talk about someone pitching the idea of getting her top ripped off before getting it switched to being pied. If she really an axe to grind, do you think it would've taken that long for us to hear about that? That would've came out immediately.

Sasha might get Tony's attention but he'd be wise to only offer a minimal contract. She's a personality that has some traction but she's not better than the average AEW women in terms of avoiding shitty matches unless carried hard. AEW only has a few solid to great women so that's negated. Sasha would generate hype but she can't produce at a rate worth putting on week after week unless they have a tag belt. Ruh roh, no tag belt. If Tony can get her cheap then go for it, but she's going to want out sooner rather than later because AEW has a tighter leash on women's shit compared to WWE. Naomi is done. AEW won't even give her a call. No one wants her or her connection to the twin that is a DUI magnet.

Punk / Austin are tied because Austin could be great depending on the set up and people would pay to see him. Punk has a following and can at least do more in ring than Austin when given a decent build and matchup.

Jeff is a solid short term / burn the candles on both ends prospect. He and his brother want to go full tilt so give it to them. WWE will eventually retire both of them once it's clear they can't go in the ring anymore.

Toni is young enough to get something out of her. I think she and Sasha are releatively on the same level at this point. WWE is done with the horsewomen and only focuses on them separately now. Sasha has some name recognition left but not a ton. Let her prove herself on a lower contract. Toni can be a contender but is probably happy to just be around and work her OF stuff to compensate.

I have no idea who Gail is.

Shock wins in tournaments are nothing new. It would have gotten Lesnar over huge. He's right though in that they were leaving money on the table not doing it the right way on PPV. I don't necessarily believe he would have had no problem jobbing to him though.
IIRC he also had a second walkout the year after, I think he mainly just had a bug up his as at this time.

All walkouts are based. The strongest weapon labor has against management is to withhold their labor and if that's all they can do to get management to take them seriously, they should do it.
Most justified is Punk.
Funniest is a tie between Gail and Jeff.
Most overall based is a tie between Austin and Sasha/Naomi because they're the ones that made Vince sperg out the most.

They should have just booked it as Stone Cold wants to become the first 2 time King of the Ring winner. Then you can basically do a reverse Jake Roberts for him.

Have his semi final match (let's say against RVD) be such a hard fought match that in storyline he got hurt. And then have him lose to Lesnar in the finals.

With this you elevated 2 newer guys. RVD would look much more of a threat and Lesnar off course gets a big boost by winning the tournament. You also drew in the money since fans probably would have expected Steve to make it to the finals. And Steve also wouldn't look weak here despite losing.

And off course no stupid walk outs either.
