>>5750862Yeah, I disagree with that. I think the reason he seems lackluster is because this tournament isn't a good fit for his style of wrestling. If you put Bret Hart in a tournament with a bunch of cruiserweights doing 450 splashes, he'd probably seem lackluster too. Wheeler Yuta isn't fit to lace Bret Hart's boots but you get my point, I think it's a little bit of a clash of styles.
Now, there are guys in this tournament who can overcome that like El Desperado. He doesn't really wrestle a particularly high-flying style but he has character, he knows the Japanese hard-hitting style better, and he can still deliver in matches because he's a top, TOP tier worker (I think Despy's one of the best going today). But Wheeler Yuta is not El Desperado. He will probably never be that good, even with 5 years of good experience under his belt and the tutelage of guys like Danielson and Regal but that doesn't mean he's bad, either.
