>>5761369The decline has been happening very slowly, Omega leaving isn't the cause of it but his presence on the show was quite important so once he was out, there was no good foundation to keep it all together and the cracks started to show, Tony failed to book Punk and Danielson as legit big-time stars and somehow, for some reason gave the spotlight to Atom Cole of all people and well...let's just say, to this day the only people that do feel like actual big time stars are still Omega, Jericho and Moxley.
I don't know the details about Cody's situations, but even though I wouldn't say he's a star yet he's definitively not a nobody so him leaving -specially when he was one of the founding fathers of AEW- probably did demoralize a fair bit backstage, I mean when one of the biggest "fuck WWE lmao" guys goes back to it...
