The guys got the it factor as far as character work and in-ring charisma go. He has a very marketable character for the Japanese audience and he can go in the ring. That's pretty much the perfect formula to be a gaijin star in NJPW, so hopefully he returns regularly for tours

Yeah, TJP on the United Empire was something I cringed hard when I heard of it. I saw the dude in WWE and a very little bit of him in New Japan as well and the guy has always been solid but forgettable. Dude hasn't had a forgettable match yet. It was a wise move to put him in the United Empire.

Let's be honest on how we got here. New Japan was only going to bring someone over that was working with their shows/alongside their talent anyway. Yuta was on Strong shows previously and had the carve out to work in New Japan, as did Garcia and Aaron Solow. TK was never going to send Starks who (a) had no prior experience with New Japan and (b) is a "heavyweight" in their estimation as a potential future world champ.

Maybe they're just trying to get Who(?)ta experience and training if they really want him to be a future main eventer like that Moxley blood stuff suggests. Akira's rough around the edges too but he's young and he still does some things very well. I thought he was excellent at playing to the crowd in the Zayne match and I think he's a pretty good seller when he actually gets around to it.

AEW are based on this turbo smark idea that a good wrestler is about the movez you do, whereas Impact is about being technically good, but also connecting with the audience too. It's even funnier cause at fist glance, you'd say that Ace is much more of a movez guy than Yuta, but he knows how to string things together better and he has much better character. Yuta is fundamentally sound, but he doesn't have any character, except dude who bladed in AEW

I'm sure they are, but they're not gonna get more than 2 AEW guys into the tournament. If Danielson and Mox come, that's it.
As I said already, New Japan isn't interesting in spending all their foreigner slots in AEW.
And, again, considering none of off-company guys will win the G1, AEW is not interested in sending a mass of people to job out in Japan either.

Nah they won't send both mox and Danielson, 1 big name and 1 guy they wanna build up, mox already did Japan so Danielson will go to the G1, it was part of his signing deal after all, and I reckon they might send Wardlow he'd definitely impress over there, Starks or Andrade could be another good choice

Sure, that's a fair. But given most of what he's talked about is G1, I tend to assume he meant that. And idk, the extra day being booked makes it feel like something is different. Might just be reading too much into it, but that's more fun to do as long as you're not married to it and let yourself get disappointed if it doesn't happen.
