AEW did great numbers right after Danielson debuted because people were expecting a hot angle with him against the Elite. They were EXCITED to see what would happen. And what did they get? They got Dante Martin, Lio Rush, Daniel Garcia. They got Matt Sydal. They got Adam Cole doing literally nothing. They got no long running company wide storylines.
