-All the promos that get subtitled
Outside of that, I just read the results. I think it's a great way of enjoying New Japan without getting burned out in how repetitive it gets.

Why would people want to go to a show when they can't even cheer? The Wrestle Kingdom of the previous year had a similiar attendance while in 2020 they sold 70k tickets, its all because they don't let people say whatever they want to say on a wrestling show.

Crowds can't cheer.
Bad booking, including:

The opposite. If anything, it made the briefcase irrelevant. The whole reason why Naito gave Ibushi the title shot despite losing the briefcase was because he won the G1.

It was kinda wack that Tanahashi did this year long story where he came back and proved he could still hang at the top, disproving Omega's assertion that Tanahashi was broken down and couldn't go anymore....just for Jay to show up and beat the shit out of him for a month straight and then pin him completely clean, proving that Tanahashi was actually broken down and couldn't go anymore.

Like damn, I know they wanted to do Okada vs. Jay in MSG, but they could've given Tanahashi one defense at least.

I could be misremembering, but I think that they originally gave the G1 winner a title shot immediately after, like they did with Best of the Super Jrs. When you go all the way from August to January of the next year (Which I can understand. Winner of the biggest tournament of New Japan getting a title shot at the biggest event), you kinda need something for them to do, so the briefcase defense shit materialized itself, even if I always hated it in kayfabe. I don't really know what the solution to this is, because I don't want them to change the G1 Climax's date, but I also understand them wanting G1 Climax's winner be at Wrestle Kingdom, and they certainly can't have the G1 Climax winner not doing anything. But I will say that the shock briefcase win by Jay White was over with me.
