The last years of his WWE run and ESPECIALLY his failed test run on AEW where he was just an INTENSE and SERIOUS wrestler sucked-ass. Dude turned it around with the e-drone gimmick on the indies though, props to him. Although I guess that has really run out of steam at some point, people barely talk about him anymore

It's not his fault he got put into a feud with a checked out Dean Ambrose that the fans knew was leaving so they didn't give a shit about the feud. He was going to get a big babyface push but after Vince saw the crowd reactions he changed his mind

he's a bonafide stupid chud but so are a lot of guys in wrestling who have done more with less. If WWE's moving more towards body/promo guys and further away from indy workrate guys right now, that's another way he got unlucky with timing
