I was never really an AEW fan, haven’t been a wrestling fan since 2010 or so really. But I did watch AEW a lot for its first two years. What the fuck did this nigga do to piss off Tony? Massively pushed, massively loved. No point in watching if he just loses. I honestly have no idea if it was a shitpost when people said his match with punk would shoot him into super stardom, but those retards incredibly off the target. He’s not the only one either, but i enjoyed him way more

Darby is a "come watch me die" wrestler. He doesn't need to win. He clearly knows this and doesn't care about it. Wins, losses, titles are completely irrelevant to the kind of star Darby Allin is. People remember Mick for taking bumps and Darby is exactly the same.

Basically Darby got the "he can loose, he'll still be over" stamp from Tony and he's using him to put over as many guys as he can with big contracts. A victim of circumstance essentially. He will probably be built up to lose to Punk in his reign. Shame.

AEW is literally a manchild remaking moments from other companies, but without any of the context that made those moments make sense originally. And the guys working for him are sometimes able to make it work.
