>>5846111>at best you are gonna see midcarders carrying belts around the globe and why not even defend them in another contintent.Pretty much everyone in New Japan works the midcard aside from Okada. Who doesn't exactly? Jay, Tanahashi, Naito, Nakamura basically worked the NJPW midcard for most of his run, Shingo is probably more of a midcarder overall. And they're also regarded as NJPW top guys, so I'm not really sure what you're getting at, or how 'NJPW midcarders' appearing in AEW or in cross-promotional events would be some kind of epic burn, or NJPW throwing shade at AEW.
Of course, I think it's very obvious that Okada will be working with AEW in some capacity so the entire point is moot.
>>5846113>They have no benefit in jobbing their top guysWho said anything about NJPW jobbing out their top guys? Nobody thinks Okada is going to be eating pins for Ricky Starks, anon. Isn't this what they call a strawman? Inventing something to argue against because you're so wedded to your argument? That sort of thing?
>the same thinking from their other inter-promotional shows apply hereYeah, pic related. I don't think so. You can say, "Oh, he's just working and promoting the show!" but if what you say is true, why would NJPW tell him to do that for an interview that is primarily going to be seen by Japanese fans? Your logic is flawed, my friend. This show is being regarded differently, as Okada notes as if it's an obvious thing and a complete given (it is).
>>5846142>Yeah i'm sure NJPW was/is ecstatic to see their american revenue drop because AEW's creationWell, it sure looks like they've gotten over that, or at the very least that they've sensibly put profit over hurt feelings as a responsible, profit-minded company should do when an opportunity presents itself. The fact that the show is happening at all more or less destroys the implications of what you're saying, anon.
