According to a police report, Atlas was drinking with friends at the bar and called his partner and asked him to join him. Atlas's partner did so, then tried to get Atlas to leave the bar. The report goes on to say that Atlas asked his partner to go with him "to a female friend's house to engage in sexual activities." The partner agreed, and a "few friends then relocated" to the friend's residence, where Atlas continued drinking.
The police report states that Atlas and his domestic partner got into a verbal argument at the friend's house after Atlas's partner "showed more attention to the female half" than to Atlas.
The report states that Atlas then "became physically aggressive and charged at" his partner. The report goes on to say that a friend twice stepped between Atlas and his partner, but that after the second time, Atlas scratched his partner's forearm and tore his shirt.
The police report states that Atlas was given multiple opportunities to leave the scene without further incident, but refused, at which point the police were called.
