So I honestly don’t get or understand the basis for MJF’s promo or what point it serves.
His whole argument seems to be that Tony Khan bringing in other wrestlers who fans like and want to see succeed at a company that values wrestling that may also benefit the growth of the company is a dumb waste of money, because that money should go to him.
And in typical fashion, it appears as if wrestling fans are ready and willing to go down this rabbit hole and suddenly not like something they never had a problem with until now, all because it was pointed out in a “shoot” that those wrestlers once worked somewhere else, which we already knew.
“Ugh… you brought CM Punk after all these years? UGH!”
“Ugh… you’re making me have to watch Bryan Danielson, arguably the best wrestler in the world? UGH!”
“Ugh… William Regal? UGH!”
“Ugh… I can’t believe you signed Aleister Black. UGH!”
“Ugh… Buddy Matthews… Stokely Hathaway… Toni Storm… Athena… Adam Cole… Keith Lee… Swerve Strickland… reDragon… Christian Cage… UGH!”
And somehow Tony Khan is being painted as the villain, even though he does his best to deliver for the fans by bringing more cool stuff into the mix…?
“Ugh… I can’t believe he has the nerve to give us an interpromotional dream PPV that we’re all excited for and have been eagerly looking forward to. UGH!”
Please… someone help this make sense.
