Past his prime and didn't get charisma until later in his life. Same with his promos, he wasn't good until later. It's a shame because he's always been one of my favorites and he has a GOAT look.

I think Johnny has had one of the most bizarre careers ever.

He looks like a million bucks. He can do all kinds of athletic stuff and he can have matches smarks like. Yet he never really got booked in smark promotions like PWG, ROH or other big indies. He has never done Japan, even though he'd fit well there. And it took him 3 years to get to AEW, even though he'd be a perfect fit with people like Dante Martin, Darby, the Young Bucks and others.

It's not a money thing. He works Mexico all the time. And it's not a travel thing, as he works Mexico all the time.

I don't know if he just has some side hustle that prevents him from doing things or if he just loves tacos.

I think he's still got a main event run in him, but Tony seems to have him pigeonholed as a jobber to the stars.
If he gets booked strong for a few weeks it might turn that around but Tony is so all over the place with his booking I never know what he's gonna do.

this dude had the opportunity to come to AEW when it had 1/5th of its star power it has now.

He decided it was best to play 2nd fiddle to Miz for a year before they dumped his ass. Now he'll be nothing more than Johnny Elevation.

It kind of makes sense. Like I said he's one of my favorite but even as a kid I remember finding his promo to be kind of shitty. Like I said he's way better now but when he was with the Miz, Miz outdid him in that regard. It kind of shows Vince doesn't only care about looks because Miz's is shit especially in comparison to Johnny's.

Goddamn you anti-smark faggots are so clueless. You literally think DOING TEH MOVEZ0RZ is what makes someone a great wrestler, or makes smarks like someone, or think they're great in the ring. You have 0 understanding of what makes a great wrestler if you think Johnny Mundo was ever anything near a great wrestler. He's always been a movez guy with 0 psychology and a great look. He's athletic but he's sloppy, he botches, he's spotty but not sensational enough to be an Ospreay or Ricochet type.

The only reason he has any sort of hype or credibility behind him whatsoever is because he was booked very well in Lucha Underground
