This should actually be the company wide mega-angle they go with. Split the entire roster and have everyone pick sides on the OGs vs WWE interlopers. Make it like the NWO war. Suddenly tag partners can't trust each other, have defectors, each side fighting for control of the company's future.

WWE is a dead brand, they've been bleeding fans for 2 decades. The last thing AEW needs to do is reference WWE or copy WWE. The biggest storyline in your company being EX WWE VS AEW originals is really uncreative garbage that won't appeal to anybody who isn't already watching so I'm sure that's exactly what Tony is planning on doing.

Eh, they were kinda throwaway matches. They're only there to appeal to the general audience and not people like us. I mean it's almost guaranteed that Hangman is coming back to The Elite as Cole and ReDragon turn against the Bucks and split off to for their own thingamajig.
