The reason is there is none. AEW isn't interested in maintaining kayfabe or any sort of universe where the shit they say makes any sense. They are constantly winking at the camera and TELLING you the shit's fake. If they're not even trying to convince you it's real, why would you be watching it. The meet and greet incident was already hard enough to accept as a work, but now they straight up scrambled and went from stretcher spot to the guy just walking around so he can deliver his pipe bomb.
