>>5895698>>5895695Here's the problem. They are clearly setting up a Summer of Punk angle with Punk as Cena and MJF being Punk. Khan just loves retreading angles too much. Here's the bigger issue. no one understands why the Punk pipe bomb really got over. It was not that Punk's promo was so fucking kino etc. It was Cena. Plain and simple. Love him or hate him Cena was a megastar but the (smark) crowd had become tired of him while causals and kids liked him. Hence the Cena sucks/Lets go Cena shit. Cena represented WWE completely at that point. Fans embraced the idea of someone looking to take that down. That person happened to be Punk. The issue now is Punk is not fucking Cena. Not just in the obvious megastar role, but also in the fact he does not represent AEW at all. If anything MJF does. And even he lacks that. Without a megastar face of the company who people are tired of the MJF thing just doesnt work.
