Because it’s such a cop out to not just crown a new champion. The interim champion doesn’t count as the real world champion even though the “real” world champion can’t physically compete to defend his championship. In which case of the world champion can’t compete then they should not be fucking world champion.

I hated this shit with Will Ospreay and Shingo last year too.

They did this shit with the tnt titles and it was fucking confusing. There were 2 titles. What the fuck was the point of it. Then they get unified randomly. The 2nd title should never have existed.
The whole interim shit is retarded. I'd rather have the belt vacated, or just no one has it instead of having a champ who's not actually champ. Its like being crowned the MVP of the Pro Bowl, while the other guy wins mvp of the superbowl. It's a literal what the fuck does it matter. There is no pride in being an interim champ.
