Let's post a list of all the embarrassing/cringe moments from everyone's favorite pissant company>Despite gearing its product towards the smark demographic, AEW decided the best possible move for a first-ever match under the AEW umbrella at Double Or Nothing would be a comedy battle royale, the exact kind of hokey garbage fans complained about WWE, late-era WCW and TNA doing. Though it was largely well-received, it still displayed a remarkable amount of tone-deafness on the bookers' parts. >AEW chose to release a new commercial boasting about its dominance in the ratings war over NXT... in the midst of getting worse ratings than NXT back-to-back. Though this was likely a case of bad timing (as AEW did later take the ratings lead back), it still made them come across in a very stupid light. >At the end of the December 18th edition of AEW Dynamite, in the midst of an attack orchestrated by the Dark Order, a creeper delivered some of the all-time worst looking punches to Dustin Rhodes. The segment was bad enough that it managed to garner responses on Twitter from the likes of Mark Henry, Sean "X-Pac" Waltman, Trish Stratus, Tama Tonga, and Randy Orton.

>>5914756 >Former FMW wrestler Len "Dr. Luther" Olsen debuted during a AEW Women's Championship match between Riho and Kris Statlander... and was promptly greeted with "Who are ya?" chants from the fans. >The leader of the Dark Order, the long-teased "Exalted One", was revealed to be Brodie Lee (the former Luke Harper) playing a Vince McMahon parody. While AEW has mostly avoided going the TNA route of having every ex-WWE superstar cut promos burying their former employer up to this point (mainly relegating sour grapes to podcast interviews and social media), Lee played the trope fairly straight. >>5914766 >At the 2020 All Out PPV event, Sammy Guevara faced Matt Hardy in a "Broken Rules" match (basically a Last Man Standing match with the stipulation that, if Hardy lost, he would leave AEW forever). In the opening minutes of the match, a spot involving both competitors jumping off a scissor lift and through some tables below went horribly wrong when Matt Hardy's head missed the tables and impacted the concrete floor below. With Hardy knocked out from the impact, match referee Aubrey Edwards threw up the "X" sign to end the match, but was overruled by the AEW doctor that checked on Matt after he got knocked out by giving him the all clear to continue, even though Matt Hardy was noticeably unsteady and stumbled to his feet trying to pull down Sammy Guevara's trunks so he could get up. The broadcast then cut to commentary, with Jim Ross saying that you could tell right away that Hardy wasn’t right. "His head bounced off the concrete", Ross said. "That's all you need to see". However, the broadcast then cut back to Matt Hardy attacking Sammy Guevara with the match seemingly restarted. The finish to the match came shortly after, with both competitors climbing up some scaffolding next to ringside, with Matt knocking Sammy off and through a platform to win the match >Also at All Out, Matt Sydal made his first appearance in AEW... with his first move seeing him botch a shooting star press by slipping off the top turnbuckle. >>5914756 >In what was hyped up for weeks but ended up being an under delivered show climax after the Exploding Barbed Wire Deathmatch main event had concluded at the 2021 Revoulution PPV, in which the ring was meant to explode after the 30-minute time limit reached zero seconds, with Eddie Kingston and Jon Moxley still inside, but ended in a visually weak-looking explosion with sparklers that "didn't come anywhere near" the wrestlers and which Eddie Kingston sold as if he was hit by an grenade explosion and being tended to by AEW medical staff, leading to what wrestling critics felt was a disappointing payoff. Fans at the venue also booed at the finish. After the show went off the air, Moxley responded to the live crowd, saying: "Kenny Omega may be a tough son of a bitch, but he can't make an exploding ring worth a shit!" Anonymous
